This is supposed to be the location of the James P. Kennedy House at Stockton Ranch in Santa Clara County. The ranch covered about 1,900 acres and was officially the land grant known as Rancho Potrero de Santa Clara which was originally granted to James Alexander Forbes in 1844. He sold it to Commodore Robert F. Stockton in 1847. James P. Kennedy ran the ranch for Stockton.
