Member of VFW He was in the hospital at the end of the war. All his papers were lost. However from his commanding officer ,verification of his military service was proven and having been in the hospital in France they had tat record. He received a pension the rest of his life. After military service he received training as a cobbler and later ran a shop in Anniston, Al. Then he became a farmer and retired as one. He owned 2 farms , one 90 acres and one 40 acres. He also owned 2 buildings in the town of Blountsville, Al.
